Why i haven't gotten a stimulus check?

I filed my taxes in January had turbo tax electronically deposit my refund in my checking account. Irs says by the information provided they can not determine eligibility.

Just because they cannot currently determine eligibility doesn't mean that you won't receive the stimulus. It just means that the IRS hasn't updated your status yet. They are processing millions of stimulus payments and their staff has been cut drastically due to COVID-19, so things are moving slowly. Please check it once a day, as the IRS only updates it once a day.

Are you referring to the box on your return that says you can be claimed as a dependent by someone else? If so, TurboTax does not check this box for you. You have to manually do it.

To check on this, look at page 1 of your Form 1040. In the middle of the form in the left margin, you will see the words "Standard Deduction". Next to those words is the following: "Someone can claim you as a dependent". If the box next to that is checked, then you have indicated that you can be claimed as a dependent, and you do not qualify for the stimulus check.
