Which forms to mail in to the IRS?

I filed my federal and state electronically-I owe on my federal return and get a refund from  state - chose to print and file by April 15, 2025 do I need to still send and mail a copy of the 1040 form and the W-2 along with the 1040-V voucher?

Since you e-filed the federal tax return, there is nothing you need to mail.  Except for the Form 1040-V Payment voucher and your check for the taxes owed.

If you e-filed your tax returns you do not need to mail in Form 1040 or any W-2's.   If you are mailing a check or money order mail it with the 1040V voucher and make sure you write your name and SSN on the check.  Or you can pay on the IRS direct pay site.

If you owe tax due, you have to pay it yourself by the filing deadline on April 15, 2025.

If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment with the 1040V voucher, (which has the address printed on it, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.
