The IRS has just launched a new web portal which allows you to follow the scheduled payment date for either a direct deposit or mailed check. It’s an online app that works on desktops, phones, or tablets and doesn’t need to be downloaded from an app store, the Treasury said.

To track your payment, you must provide basic information including:

  • Social Security number
  • Date of birth
  • Mailing address

The tool also lets people provide their bank account details to get their payment by direct deposit instead of waiting for a mailed paper check.

If you filed a tax return in 2018 or 2019 but didn’t provide direct deposit information, you’ll be able to identify yourself, input that banking information, and receive the payment in several days in your account.

To add direct deposit information, you will need to provide:

  • Adjusted gross income from your most recent tax return submitted, either 2019 or 2018
  • The refund or amount owed from your latest filed tax return
  • Bank account type, account, and routing numbers

Am a non-filer, I don't file taxes because my income is extremely low. So, I filed using the Turbotax stimulus registration to receive the stimulus check. My question is am I supposed to also fill out the IRS form on the IRS website that is meant for non-filers?

NO ... you only need to do it once.

I made over 5000 dollars in the year 2019 and filed on February 29. Got my return no problem but accidentally checked I could be claimed as a dependent even though because I am 26 and made to much I am unelelagable to even be a dependent and have not recieved my stimulus check. Is this a turbo tax issue or what?

This was a user entry error ... if you did not understand the question you should have clicked on the LEARN MORE  link to be educated ... the program cannot answer these questions for you ... all a DIY program can do is ask them.

To correct this you can mail in an amended return to "claim yourself" which will take 16 weeks or more to process which may generate a stimulus check this year  OR   you can get it when you file the 2020 return next January.

My stimulus check says it was deposited to my turbo debit card account on April 15 and it is still not in my account. What is going on?

@BlakeM094 - you will get a letter from the IRS within 2 weeks explaining where the money went, who to contact, etc.

I suspect the IRS attempted to direct deposit and will be mailing out a paper check shortly

there are a lot of issues with those who used the TT card from Greendot back.  it's a long story.

did you contact your bank?
