Where is my Form 5329?

I just finished filing my 2024 tax return, and upon finishing, I downloaded everything that was filed. I used TurboTax Desktop specifically to file form 5329 for a missed RMD in 2024 (that I then took in January 2025.) but now I don't see it in my filed documents. I do, however, still see the "Explanation Statement" for the penalty waiver. Did TurboTax screw this up? Did I? Am I just missing this somehow?

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, to contact the IRS, or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason,
SUCH AS,

To confirm all newly added forms are present.

AND, to find your AGI next year.

It depends. If you did not have the 1099-R for 2024, then TurboTax would not realize Form 5329 should be added to your tax file. You would have had to add the Form 5329 to your tax file manually. Use the link below to show you how to add a form in TurboTax Desktop:

The good news is that you can still add this to your tax return and it is a 'stand alone' form.  Simply add it to your return, print that form, sign it and mail it to the IRS by itself.
