Are you in California?  FTB is the California state Franchise Tax Board for your state refund.  Other states might say FTB also.

So that should be your state refund.  Is it a different amount than you were expecting?

Yes i reside in California. Also yes it's much more less then what i was expecting. I'm unsure why. Im now worried about my Federal return and Stimulus since i have yet to get it.

I would check over your return and see if you can see anything wrong especially in the payments section.  Make sure you agree with all the amounts listed.   Like is the difference the same or close to the refund you got last year?  Maybe you put down that you applied last year's refund to this year?  Or you put down you made a payment with an extension or paid an estimated payment that you didn't make?

The state will mail you a letter saying what they changed.
