W-2

I added another w-2 income to my taxes ...will irs get it ...

Once you have submitted your return via e-file, the only way the IRS will receive any updates to your return is to file an amended return. 

 

You will need to wait for your return to be accepted or rejected prior to completing an amended return. 

 

Please note, you cannot submit an amended return via e-file.

I gave you guys my email but I didn’t receive an email that the IRS receptive my return when would I receive that or hear anything about my W-2 or filing

This is normal. TurboTax updates what stage your return is in and the IRS site updates when you can expect your refund:

  • E-filing status is what stage of the process your return is in.
  • Refund status is when you can expect you refund. 

Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS.

It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates.
