view actual forms

In a prior year I wanted to view the actual form and the software wouldn’t let me.  I called support and they told me that feature was only available if I bought the program on a CD and not from a download.  I am about to order my 2024 software but I want to make sure the feature will be available to me if I download the software.

Yes it is still the same way for CD and Download.  The Download is exactly the same as the CD, it's just the way you install it.  People are confusing the Desktop Download program with the Online browser version.  I'm using the download from Costco and have the Forms mode.

Either you were told wrong or didn't understand the difference.

The TurboTax desktop editions that are installed on personal computer all have the Forms feature.  Forms allows you to access all the forms, schedules and worksheets included in the tax return.

Whomever told you that Forms mode was only available using a CD and not a Download was mistaken.

Thank you!  I was hoping that was the case, and it’s probably my misunderstanding because of the one year I tried using the browser version and was disappointed, so the next year, I bought the CD.
