Unable to File Electronically

I was unable to file electronically so I filed by mail.

 

How do I tell the software that my return was filed - is it necessary for me to click a button so that it can stop telling me that it is time to print and file my 2018 return?

Are you getting emails?  Ignore them if you printed and mailed the return. No you cannot “tell” the online account you mailed it. The software has no way to lnow you did that. The emails will stop.

Turbotax has failed even worse now.  I was unable to file IL state taxes electronically, but was charged anyway. I spent an hour on the phone yesterday trying to file electronically, and was told I would not be charged for previous effort, but now I have been charged again, twice, for $19.99.

To contact TurboTax customer service/support use their contact website during business hours. If the problem concerns any type of refund for fees, use the key words billing issues and do Not use the word Refund or you will get a phone number for tax refunds.

I completed the return.  But I am unable to file as it keeps rejecting  and it taking me to the date that I started the  the residence in Texas.   Please help.

Since this is an online forum, we cannot see your return.

 

You can either ask a specific question and let us know what rejection code you are getting and we can try to help that way.

I did not take out any RMDs in 2020. The turbo tax I did shows a refund. The electronic filing shows RMDs. I need to talk with someone. Call me when [phone number removed]

@AsaPeb No one can call you from the user forum.  

 

Phone support is not provided with the Free Edition.  If you are using a paid version of the software or if you purchased PLUS you can get phone support when customer support is there.  Otherwise, post your question here and someone will try to help.
