You need to talk to a real person. To do that leave a message on the bank's Facebook page.
@MissMCJ Can you give us some evidence -even anecdotal or recent -- that messaging Green Dot via Facebook is effective for users with problems?
It is what I always do and what I have always advised others to do, with Intuit and with other companies. I don't think that is written down anywhere that I can send you a reference too. Green Dot Bank is notoriously hard to contact. Even when you push all the right buttons, the calls end up hanging up on the caller.
But they do an excellent job of monitoring their Facebook page and responding to messages left there. This is also true with AT&T and many other companies. Social media has become a great way to get a real person.
I will not be using that as a suggestion without some corroborating information from Intuit or Green Dot. Unless I KNOW from another source that a link or a suggestion will be helpful, i will not suggest it to a user. But if anyone uses the suggestion to post on Green Dot's FB page, we would like to hear about it and see if it helped.
