Turbo Advance Loan

Last year I was approved for an advanced on my refund. I literally read the page twice. It said I was approved for 2,000$ loan, so I opted to use the turbo card they issue because that was the only option. It flat out said I was approved if and when my taxes were accepted. As soon as they were I got a denial email. I don't care I was denied w.e, but now I have to use turbo card instead of my bank? I know for a fact it isn't 100% free because I still use the same one I got with my advance loan last year. Just seems like a scam to get you to use the TT card. Correct me if I am wrong please.

The initial approval is just a pre-qualification. If you don't qualify, you'll receive an email confirming you won’t receive a Refund Advance. It will include information about why you were not eligible for a Refund Advance. Your federal refund (minus any other agreed upon fees) will be loaded onto a Turbo Visa Debit Card. For more detailed information, please click here. You can also read the terms and conditions for the refund advance by clicking here, specifically the part that states "You will not receive a final decision of whether you are approved for the Loan until after you file your taxes and the IRS accepts your return." Unfortunately, once your e-filed return has been accepted, it's too late to change your refund method.

Same thing happened to me. Which sucks because other than the Advance loan I would have used my bank. 😡
