Taxes

It says I filed and the IRS has accepted my federal on TT  it said I don't have to file state but then it says ready to mail. I got accepted by IRS on 1/29 and I have eic but it has been processing almost a month. Some people are saying there was an update last Saturday. Will there be another this Saturday? I'm so confused and have never waited this long for my taxes. I'm so scared something has went wrong and noone has told me anything.

TurboTax does not receive updates from the IRS once they have accepted your return. There's no way to know when the IRS will update the status of your refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly.

  • Has it been 21 days since you have filed? The bar is an estimated time frame in which you should receive your return.
  • The only way to know when your refund will be released is to use the IRS Where's My Refund tool.
  • The IRS Where's My Refund? lookup service provides a specific, personalized date for your tax refund.
  • The TurboTax Refund Tracker projects an estimated date range on when you can expect your refund.

Additionally, the following link provides helpful information on estimated refund due dates based on date of filing:

If your return was accepted 21 days ago or longer and you have not received an update via the Where's My Refund tool, you can follow the instructions in the following FAQ to contact the IRS for further assistance.
