Tax return

my second stimulus got mail to an old address. On my tax return I put I didn’t get it . I still didn’t receive my taxes it been 21 days . Will they be available to see I never cash it . Or will I know if my taxes have a problem

The reason it's taking so long may be due to the fact that the IRS is waiting for the check to be returned and entered in their system so they could send you the stimulus in the refund. You may call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to find out what is going on.

 

On the IRS website, Get My Payment Frequently Asked Questions, you did what the IRS says to do, if you have a stimulus payment missing. 

 

  • "If your Economic Impact Payment can’t be delivered to you for any reason and is returned to the IRS, if you’re eligible, you may claim the Recovery Rebate Credit and must file a 2020 tax return even if you are not required to file."
