Tax return refund status

I filed my tax return using efile in February. I have an email stating my return was accepted on 2/17/21. I was concerned about the length of time it was taking to get my refund. So on April 9 I requested a tax transcript from the IRS. I just received their reply. It says no record of return filed. So Turbo Tax I want to know just what the hell is going on. I've used your product for many years and never had an issue but this year there is nothing but problems. Based on all the texts from other users it appears there is a serious issue you need to resolve. But I definitely want to know why the IRS sent me a letter saying they haven't received my return when I have an email from Turbo Tax telling my return was accepted.

The IRS is seriously backlogged due to all the new tax laws and extra stimulus filings, as well as unprocessed 2019 returns left over from the COVID shutdown.  In addition, the Where's My Refund site has been erratic and unreliable.  But if TT told you that the IRS Accepted your efiling for processing, then the government has it.  (Approved is a later step, but TT receives no further updates once a return is Accepted.)  Unfortunately, contacting the IRS will not speed things up.  Lots of other folks are still waiting, so please continue to be patient.  Also see:
