Submitted W-2 instead of IT-2 with return

I did taxes for my wife. For her NY state return, I attached her w-2 to the return. I didn't realize until afterwards that she needs to submit the IT-2 instead of the actual W-2.

What's going to happen? Should she resubmit the return with an IT-2?

 

(This was not done on Turbo Tax and the return was mailed.)

Don't do anything unless your wife hears from the state. Do not resubmit the tax return. If the state does contact your wife, they will give her instructions for what to do.
