SSA-1099 withholding needs change

Hi,

On my 2021 SSA-1099 I under reported the withholding tax.

Can I change this on Turbo Tax?

TT wants a Federal ID. but there isn't one on the form.

If you are entering the SSA-1099 in the correct place no EIN is required ...

Go to Federal> Wages & Income>>Retirement Plans and Social Security (SSA1099 and 1099RRB) to enter your SSA1099.

You already entered it and need to change it? You are in the wrong place.

Try going to the search box and type in SSA-1099 or Social Security Benefits. That will give you a Jump To link to take you directly to it.

Enter a SSA-1099, SSA-1099-SM or RRB-1099 under

Federal Taxes on the left side or top

Wages and Income

Then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security

Then the second line - Social Security (SSA-1099. RRB-1099) - click the Start or Revisit button

If you've already filed your return, don't do anything. The IRS will catch the error and adjust accordingly.
