Spouse incorrectly flagged as 'can be claimed as a dependent'

Hello, filed my taxes and filled everything out as normal. I didn't notice until after my taxes were done that it marked that my spouse can be claimed as a dependent. I did not mark any of the boxes that would imply that. I see that this is a glitch that was happening with TurboTax. What do I need to do to get the amendment done on these taxes? It is unacceptable that I am not able to get a stimulus check due to an error that TurboTax is allowing in their software/GUI. It looks like the glitch was happening back in 2018. Without prior knowledge of the glitch how would anyone know that this is happening. We are married filing separately. It was not something that we had noticed until the stimulus check stuff started happening. Either TurboTax owes our family $1,200 or we will be joining one of the class action lawsuits.

Once you are certain that your return has been filed and accepted, please read on for instructions on how to amend:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax.
  2. Scroll down to Your tax return & documents (you may need to select Show), select 2019 and then Amend (change) return.
    • If you only see the option to amend 2018 or earlier, it's because you can't amend an unfiled 2019 return. Instead, just select Pick up where you left off, make your changes, and disregard the rest of these instructions.
  3. Select Amend using TurboTax Online.
  4. Carefully follow the instructions. Don't worry if your refund changes to $0. This is normal on amended returns.
  5. When finished, we'll give you instructions for printing and mailing your amended return, as amendments can't be e-filed.

I cant file my application for the tax return.
I received and error during the final stage of application saying that the intuit electronic filling center is closed for the 2018 personal income tax filling season and that i should file it by mail.
I need some instructions about how to file the tax application by mail. Which address should i mail i to.
Could you provide me with assistance and give me some tips how can this problem be solved.

I dont have american number so i could not contact costumer service

If you are filing a 2018 tax return you must be using the 2018 program installed on your own Mac or PC.  When you print your return, it will include a cover page with instructions including the address.

This is being investigated but we don't have a resolution.  It's not the sort of problem that can be fixed by amending, because it won't change your tax owed or refund due.  As best we know now, the stimulus will be recalculated on your 2020 tax return and if you are due a payment that you did not receive, it will be added to your refund.
