Social securtity number wrong on W2

I just noticed that my social security number was off by one digit on my W2. Which means it has been incorrect on all of my W2s since I started this job in 2017. However in this time, I have been able to file my taxes and receive my refunds in spite of the error.  I know I need the W2s corrected and forwarded to the Social Security Administration to update my records. Other than the SSA, are there any other areas in my life that this could affect?

I also would log on to the SSA site and check to see if they show income for the years you have been working there. And just to make sure let the IRS know that it has been wrong for the same amount of time also. The way everyone uses it for everything now I would keep a close eye on that number wherever it may pop up. If the income is not showing at SSA somebody is getting some free SSA income. Good Luck
