Should I Amend Immediately

After filing 2022 Fed and State Taxes, I discovered that I inadvertently entered my State Business ID Number instead of my Fed EIN in the forms. Both returns were filed electronically and have been accepted. No other info is incorrect.

Should I wait until after I receive my refunds, or file amendments for both returns immediately?

Thanks for your help!

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for amending a tax return - https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/amend-change-correct-return-already-filed/L4VjJ9BA2_US_en_US?uid=ld1n99kr

i would suggest you do nothing unless you hear from the IRS or state.

If you are referring to the EIN on the Sch C then there is nothing that needs to be corrected since that form already has your SS# on it and that is all that is needed.
