Seeking help with Amended return

The IRS website states that it takes up to 3 weeks for an amended return to show up in their system. It has now been over 3 1/2 weeks. I called their amended return helpline this morning, went through all the prompts, and still no record of my return.

I need to speak with a human. Any suggestions?

At this time of year, closer to the 1040 deadline, it may take longer for your amended return to be put in the IRS system.

Once in the system, it takes the IRS around 16 weeks to process your amended taxes. You can eventually track your amended taxes with the IRS tracking tool, Where's My Amended Return?
