Return lost om my computer or did it not "save"?

How do I find the Turbotax work I was working on?

How do I save my work if I want to come back later?

W-2, 1099s and charitable contributions entered and I stopped to take a break. I closed out of the desktop version, Now I cannot find my file. When I open turbotax 2024, it wants me to register again.  There is no option to "continue" my taxes.

More background - Before I x'ed out of TurboTax, I went to the file menu and clicked "Save as". I renamed the file to add the rest of my first name to my initial.

You can type .tax in the Windows search if you have Windows and it should find the data file.

Searching using ".tax "did not locate my 2024 information that I had entered.  It found other information on my computer from past years.  I believe I did not save it. I will run a simple exercise when I begin making my initial entries again. I will practice saving the information before I load too much and make the same mistake.

Thanks for the reply.
