Why was my return rejected?

Turbo tax transmits your return to the IRS so when a rejection occurs, the reason is a discrepancy between the data that the tax payer has provided versus what the IRS has on file. Please take a look at the information that I have provided below to help decipher and fix the issue:

You should receive an email from Turbo Tax that can go over your rejection and assist you with correcting your return.  Please see the below FAQ for additional information:

Will I still be billed by TurboTax if my return was rejected?

Not if you've already paid.

TurboTax charges a preparation fee, not an e-filing fee.  So, the price you're paying is for use of the software to prepare your tax return(s).  Refer to the following FAQ for additional information:  Can I get a refund of the e-filing fee if my TurboTax ...
