Rejected E-file

Hi all,

I filed a return that ended up getting rejected. Prior to being notified of the rejection my computer had an issue that caused me to restore it. Since I was using the desktop version of turbotax the return was not saved. Does anyone know if there is a way to retrieve a copy since it was sent in for e-filing and also if I should repay the balance due? I had paid it originally but not sure if that is getting refunded.

Sorry there is no online copy saved.  You need to have your own .tax2022 file or saved on a backup.  Why would your tax payment get refunded?  How did you pay it originally?  If the efile didn't go though then the payment info didn't go though either.  Did you pay it yourself by check?  If your bank account or credit card account shows the tax due payment then it got  paid.  It won't be refunded if the efile rejected.
