What don’t they see exactly? I filled and was accepted today but no word on the advance. It’s says it will be deposited in 1-2 hours but I haven’t seen or heard anything

They are saying they don't see where I chose to get the advance itself

There will not be a deposit until the IRS processes your return.

Yeah I’m in the same boat. It’s accepted 1/21 and no refund advance. I think it’s this partnership with credit karma messing things up. I’ve been transferred back and forth between turbo tax first century and credit karma all day today for no one to give me any information. I’ve been doing my taxes for ten years on turbo tax getting a refund advance within minutes of its accepting refund not approving. And this year I’m being told different. I also was made to do credit karma option. I just asked the last Gentleman status from turbo tax and he said he don’t see the code saying I was approved so he’s assuming I was denied. I don’t believe that to be honest.

Although you could be pre approved for the advance only the bank can actually approve it after you file the return ... read the details in the contract you signed ... note the term "typically" is used and it not a guarantee ...

Not all consumers will qualify for a loan or for the maximum loan amount. If approved, your loan will be for one of ten amounts: $250, $500, $750, $1,000, $1,500, $2,000, $2,500, $3,000, $3,500, or $4,000. Your loan amount will be based on a portion of your anticipated federal refund to a maximum of 50% of that refund amount (minus any stimulus payment credit, also known as Recovery Rebate Credit).

You will not receive a final decision of whether you are approved for the loan until after you file your taxes.

Loan repayment is deducted from your federal tax refund and reduces the subsequent refund amount paid directly to you.

If approved, your Refund Advance will be deposited into your Credit Karma Money™ Spend (checking) account,

typically

within 1 - 2 hours after the IRS acceptance of your e-filed federal return and you may access your funds online through a virtual card. Your physical Credit Karma Visa Debit Card* should arrive in 7 - 14 days. *Card issued by MVB Bank, Inc., Member FDIC pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.; Visa terms and conditions apply. Third party fees may apply.

Yeah thank you for your response but that didn’t help as I was accepted by irs and still no email on whether or not i was approved or denied. I also need to mention that first century bank stated they don’t have no information on whether or not I have been approved yet or denied.

Banks send snail mail responses so it may take a few days  however this is the first year this bank/system has been in place so there are bound to be glitches.

I was supposed to get a call back from turbo tax in 16 min 45 min ago to confirm what the gentle man told me about a code that he normally sees for approved taxes.  Said mines was possibly denied

I contacted turbo tax and that said my refund advance shows pending and that could be because there are a lot of filers today so it’s not going to process in the typical 1-2 hours. Someone on here said they won’t process the refund until you’re refund processes? But turbo tax says no it’s once the refund is ACCEPTED. SO I’m really unsure. Also I already had a credit karma account and I was also one of the ones with the glitch that wouldn’t process at first because it was saying “you’re method of payment information has changed” or something like that but I finally got it to go through. I’ve filed w tt for the past 5 years but this my first time applying for an advance . Hope it goes through as I am a pather but need to pay some bills like YESTERDAY!

Yeah I had the glitch as well that stated that same response: I have no idea what’s going on with the taxes this year. I’ve done refund advance for 10 hrs now and have gotten within minutes of its accepting or no less than two hours. This is first I’ve gotten a run around. But luckily yours say pending. I was accepted 1/21 at 4:30 and nothing

Same issue and I think I figured it out but haven’t got a solution yet! So I filled these steps:

  1. Sign in TurboTax if you haven't already.
  2. On the Tax Home screen with the amount of your refund and status, scroll down and select Add a State (don't worry, we aren't adding a state) to access your tax forms and worksheets.
  3. In the left menu, select Tax Tools then Print Center.
  4. On the TurboTax Print Center screen, select Print, save or preview this year’s return.
  5. On the next TurboTax Print Center screen, select 2021 federal returns and Include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional) then select View or print forms.
  6. The information will be on the first page, Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2021 Federal Tax Return next to Balance Due/Refund

I found an application was submitted to green dot bank which is not affiliated with first century bank! Green dot is the bank turbo tax used last year so I’m guessing there is an issue in the system where TurboTax is sending applications to green dot bank instead of first century bank.
also when I filed they was not 1 thing that mentioned green dot bank so how the hell is there an agreement for green dot bank to receive any of my information? Waiting to contact TurboTax on this. Cause it all well could be a law suit if they provided info to a bank I didn’t agree to…. Right?!?

Did you get an email first or did the funds just show up? Also what time of day was your accepted on the 24th? Because mine was accepted at 6:51 EST and I’m still waiting

@cutiekim641  Was yours accepted that time pm or am?  I just called irs and they said they have my taxes. This is totally a turbo problem

PM. I’ve talked to First Century Bank and Santa Barbara Tax Group. This is absolutely a TurboTax problem! What makes it worse is they’re not giving their customers any information. Even their CS agents aren’t being told anything. From their Twitter page you can see it’s a mass event quite a few Redding advance customers. But they’re still advertising a 1 hour advance on their website. I’ve already requested a legal review of this incident at class action.org. This is unacceptable!

I received a notification from credit karma that the funds were deposited then an email from TT and then I checked the TT app and it had also updated to show the advance. I submitted my return 1/24 around 10 am cst. My refund was accepted the same day around 130pm cst!

I’m dealing with the same situation with TurboTax for 9+ years and first time doing advance and using credit karma. Filed 1/21 also and first century has nothing for me but turbo says everything is submitted to them and that they will get my issued refund for irs? How if they have no info on me? I’m so confused with this mess and it’s happening to a lot of us. I think it’s TurboTax issue cause it’s different every time you talk to them. 1 agent even told me I didn’t efile yet when I had my account right in Front of me stating everything even already accepted from irs. Then all of sudden he found everything and everything was good to go and application was “re submitted” not sure how? But first century still has no info for me. What a scam this has become. I’m worried for my return now

It is common for it to sometimes take a little longer to process your return and your advance. More details and information that will explain more on your Refund Advance has been provided for you by clicking here.

Not in my case. My refund was accepted by irs on 1/24. Turbo said everything is good for the application for the advance yet when I pulled up all my documents and forms there is not 1 page out of 50+ pages to first century bank. Only green dot bank?

When are you expecting this to be fixed? What’s the ETA?

My taxes were accepted on Monday and I still haven't gotten an answer. I called turbo tax they say the same thing as they said to the original poster. They didn't even see anything that said I filed for an advance even though on my tax report the first 3 pages say I did. I was directed to santa Barbara ( who I'm guessing is their headquarters) and they say it's pending. They said the lender hasn't made a decision yet. I ask for a number to the lender and they don't have one. Just keep telling me to feel free to call back. I have a bank account I would have preferred to use however once I was pre-approved I was forced to use credit karma just to get it. I'm starting to believe they just want people to sign up with them. There are too many people experiencing issues that no one seems to know how to fix
