Recovery rebate

Recovery rebate,    We did receive our stimulus cks , when I filed with TurboTax it asked me how much I received  I put it down when I finalize my taxes we were getting a refund of 8800,  I e-filed after the fact ,I reviewed my taxes a couple of days later and  your hardware gave me the recovery rebate why is that? I did not catch it before filed now my taxes are wrong

Thank you for your feedback, we will be looking into this issue.

 

If your return has been accepted you will have to wait and see if your refund includes the additional credit. The IRS will most likely adjust the amount automatically. Please see IRS Recovery Rebate Credit Q D2 What happens if I claim the incorrect amount? for additional information. If not then you will need to amend your return (1040X) and send the funds back to the IRS. Please see  FAQ How to amend a tax return for instructions.
