Problem when I complete all wages and earnings

I bought the downloadable TurboTax Deluxe for a PC from BestBuy, and it has generally worked well.  I ran into a problem when I had completed entering in all the wages.  When I hit completed for that section the software hung up and would not respond.  I had to do this several times - about six - and I had to reenter the date many times.  I eventually stopped hitting the "complete" button and developed a workaround by going to the next tab for deductions.  I always keep all my software applications up to date, and I don't believe this error should have repeated over and over. 

 

I lost several hours of my time before I just tried a workaround.  Please investigate the software for glitches and expect other users to have the same issue in the next few days.  You can call me if you want to try to log in for me to show you how to have this glitch repeat so you can correct it.

Try uninstalling the program and reinstalling it ... then run a program update.

That was an unhelpful answer, and actually it sounded dismissive of a new customer.  It did not explore what might be the possible options before uninstalling (to me an extreme and potentially time-involved measure), and then the possible way to connect with a live person who could help me if those options fail.  Barring that, it did not indicate what I'd need to do uninstall and reinstall. I found myself irritated by the answer and considering what other software packages to buy next year.

I apologize for your frustration.

 

I recommend clicking the Help button on the top menu bar.

  1. Then select TurboTax Help Center.
  2. A popup window will pop up and allow you to type in a search or ask for help.
  3. Once you type in your information here, you will also be prompted to have someone call you if needed on the next screen.  You will need to enter your information in this section.

This will allow you to get product support.
