Problem Amending My 2017 Return

I opened up TT 2017 and created a copy of my Filed 2017 return per the posts about amending returns. However, when I open up the Amended 2017 Return, the page that allows you to amend the return appears for a second and does not allow me to click on this option. Rather, the message "opening return" appears and proceeds to open my Amended 2017 Return. The options in the posts stating "We'll help you change (amend) your return," "Have you already filed this return?" "I need to amend my 2017 return" do not appear. Please advise. Thanks for your help!

Try typing Amend a return in the search box on the top right of the screen.

You will be given the option to "jump to" the screen to start amending your return.

Just follow the prompts once you see the three steps to amend.
