Printing Schedule A

I did not have enough deductions and had to go with the Standard deduction.  For my 2023 taxes, I was able to print the Schedule A to see how much I missed being able to itemize.  For my 2024 taxes, I wanted to print it for this year but the Schedule A is not listed as a form that can be printed.  Did this option go away or is there a trick to printing it this year?

Are you using the Online version or the Desktop installed program?

For Online

If it's giving you the Standard Deduction and  not showing you Schedule A you can check the actual amount of itemized deductions by using by going to

Tax Tools on left

Tools - Topic Search (top left box)

Type in  itemized deductions, choosing.  It should highlight that in the list, click on GO

Then Click on "Change my deduction". That will display the actual amount of itemized deductions vs. the standard deduction.    (Be sure to uncheck "Change my deduction" after checking it so you do not lock in the wrong deduction.

To preview your Form 1040, Schedule A before you file, refer to the TurboTax article How do I preview my TurboTax Online return before filing? You will have to pay for TurboTax or register if using the free product.

You can compare switch between the standard deduction and itemized deductions by following the detained instructions in the TurboTax article How do I change from the standard deduction to itemized (or vice-versa)?
