Payment Plan

Hi, I completed my taxes and requested a payment plan, which was accepted. Now what? There were no instructions provided by Turbo Tax so I don't know if I should wait for the IRS to send me a plan or just start sending money.

Any information would be appreciated!

In about a month the IRS will send you a letter in the mail concerning the payment plan and the process you use for payment.

The RETURN may have been  accepted for processing  but later  the IRS will either accept or reject your payment plan request once they get around to actually processing the return.   This notification  will come directly from the IRS  via snail mail and takes up to 3 months to be sent after the filing deadline of 4/18.

@Handyman062

If you have not yet filed then in the FILE tab step 2 do NOT use the payment plan option in the program ... it is cheaper to set it up on the IRS site directly ... in the TT program simple choose to mail in the payment then you can send a partial payment with the 1040-V  or no payment at all.
