Need to get some information about the processing fees

I got a total refund about 3,300. But I see the direct deposit I got is around 3150.

How can I get the full processing info?

You can't get the fees after you file from the Desktop program.  You buy the program before you install it.  Then the only fee would be to efile the state return for $20 or 25.   And if you need to buy a second different state program for $45.  THEN  if you want the fees deducted from your federal return there is a $40 Refund Processing Service charge ($45 in California) which you can avoid by paying the state efile fee with a credit card or you can print and mail state for free.  So the fees could only be like $60.

You should probably have an email  confirming the fees.

Did you do a state return?  Federal and state refunds come separately at different times from different places.  Who was the deposit from?  Directly from the IRS or state or the 3rd party bank SBTPG  that takes the fees out?

You can review your fees by following the instructions below.

  • After signing in to TurboTax, open or continue your return.
  • Select Tax Tools on the left side of the screen and then Tools.
  • A Tools Center box will pop up on your screen.
  • Select the My Fees box on the right.

Then the fees were  either $20+40  or  $25+40 or even less if you bought the program at Costco or Sam's and   had a $10 rebate.  If the IRS adjusted your return they will mail you a letter in a couple weeks about it.  Oh, and double check the federal refund on 1040 line 35a.

Do you remember seeing this screen?  At the end sometimes people get going too fast to file and click on the wrong button here.
