I received a 12C letter from the IRS asking for support documents for my withholding. I have it all and went to fax the documents to the number provided in the letter. Only problem is the fax number in the letter is missing a digit. 844-254-283x.
So then the letter gives a website to upload the documents. The site doesn’t exist.
That's not the fax number in my letter 12C. It's [phone number removed].
On my letter, the fax number is [phone number removed]. I guess I'll have to figure out how to fax something. sheesh. fax.

I have the same problem! Please advise if you had any answers!!
There was a number provided in response to the original poster; other users have referenced different numbers for the missing last digit (it could potentially be different fax numbers for the same purpose). With that said, please note that you can also mail your documents to the IRS - the address should be listed at the top of your letter. You may review this resource for further details @Jordinsilver.
