Idenity Theft question

I discovered I was a  victim of Identity theft when I received a letter from the IRS.... I responded, however received another notice and now have a case in tax court

Will the IRS try to take my refund if I file my taxes or do I need to wait until the court case is resolved?

You will need to request an identity theft protection pin.  If you have not received a letter with your pin, your return will not process without it.  To get an IP PIN, taxpayers should create or log into their Online Account at IRS.gov and follow the steps for identity verification. Once verified, taxpayers need to click on the profile tab to request their IP PIN

You are going to tax court?
What does your attorney say to do ?

-------

Your  2024 Form 1040 is due by April 15th even when you suspect IRS is going to take it.

You can request an extension until Octover 15th.

You don't need to request an IP PIN, However, IRS may have already assigned you an IP PIN.
