I received a w2c

I received a w2c because my former job overpaid me in 2018. I had to send back the overpayment and they told me I can't file a 1040x or amend the return. Box 1 and 2 are blank. The only boxes that have changes are 3,4,5 and 6. This is medicare and social security wages and fica. Can I just ignore this?

Thank you

There is no need to amend since Social Security and Medicare is administrated by the Social Security Administration and not the IRS so there would be no change on your tax return.

Thank you so much for the response! I had called the phone # of payroll who issued the w2c and they had no idea what to do. Gotta love State Farm!
