I keep getting a e-file rejected return. I am, pretty sure I know what the issue is. I put my 2024 AGI in there instead of last years so it obviously is not matching up. However, I can not find a way to change it. The instructions in the email say: "Once you've opened your return in TurboTax, the details about needs updating will be displayed." But they arent. I open up my return and it just goes to to beginning page. There is no option to "fix rejected return." There are no red flags in the Forms, there is no option anywhere that I can find to change my AGI. Not sure where to go other than printing and mailing it out, which I am trying to avoid if possible since it is almost 20 pages.
When you open your return, look at the top for a link to 'Check Efile Status' and click on it. That will give you more info about your Rejection Error Code. You may also have an Email from TurboTax about the rejection.
Once you verify what the error is, and your AGI is the issue, when going through the FILE section you'll be able to enter the correct AGI from your 2023 return and continue on to Efile again.
