How do i split my refund between 2 bank accounts

 You can split your federal refund into multiple accounts.

Prerequisites: 

** You must pay your TurboTax Fees using your personal credit card 

** You (or spouse, if married filing joint) must own the bank account(s) 

To split your refund into Multiple Accounts (up to 3) using TurboTax  Online:

1Sign In to TurboTax Online

2. Select "Take me to my return"

3. Select "Pick up where I left off"

4. Select the "File" tab (right of the screen) 

5. Press "Start" next to "Your refund info" 

6. Select "Split my refund" 

7. Add or update your bank account and refund allocation

 

To split your refund into Multiple Accounts (up to 3) using TurboTax Desktop:

1. Open TurboTax Desktop

2. Select the "File" tab (right of the screen) 

3. Continue to answer the interview questions to e-file your return until the "How do you want your $$$$ federal refund?" screen

4. Select "Direct Deposit to bank account" 

5. Add or update your Direct Deposit Information

6. Check the box next to "I would like to split my refund into more than one account OR I would like to purchase U.S. Series I Bonds for myself, my family, or someone else."  

7. Press "Continue" (bottom right corner)

8. Select "I want to split my refund into more than one account"

9. Press "Continue" (bottom right corner) 

10. Add or update your bank account and refund allocation on the "Split Your Refund Into Multiple Accounts" page and press "Continue"
