No problem. If you selected to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal tax refund, you can change it by paying using a debit/credit card.

You're not required to use the Refund Processing feature if you simply want to e-file your return or direct deposit your refund. It's just a convenient way to pay for TurboTax.

You don't have to pay the 39.99 Refund Processing Service charge.  You can pay the fee upfront with a credit card to avoid the extra charge.

There is also a separate 39.99 fee for a state return.

Turbo Tax still has a Free Edition for very simple returns ONLY. They are no longer participating in the IRS Free File website.

Start a Turbo Tax return here,

Or find another free offer at IRS Free File

@waynect10286   We assume you have a 1099 for self employment income.  Only the LIVE expert help is $199.  You can use the plain Self Employed version for a lot less.  Or maybe even Deluxe or Premier.

https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/

You can enter Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe or Premier but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Self Employed version or use any of the Desktop CD/Download programs.
