Help with TPG Refund

My account was mislabeled and now my refund is being sent via a cashier’s check. Every day I call I get that date as when the check was sent. It’s been since February 11 and I have no refund. Plus the website says extra fees were removed. I want to know when my check will be mailed. I did get someone from TPG tell me it would be mailed last Friday (March 17) Today I called and and the automated answer again said the check would be cut today. A rep called me back and said the check was cut the 11th. How weird. She checked w someone else and they said it was mailed out the 18th and to give ten business days to receive it. In case anyone wants to know what to do if after ten bus days later no refund. You call back and ask for an indemnity bond. Which is basically asking for your check to be resent. Goodness Gracious me. This is exhausting.

Have you thought of paying just enough by estimates or withholding to avoid a penalty and let the government wait for your check?

Yes. I do estimates but also had extra income and had no idea how much to send in. I overestimated. But it doesn’t change the fact that whether it is $100 or $2000 in a check back to me, TPG is holding my money and telling me they’ve sent it. I’ve recalculate accurately for next year and hope to never use TT or TPG products again. The extra fees were not disclosed for mailing a check.
