Form 8949 attachment

After filing my federal tax return, Turbotax asked me to file form 8453 on which form 8949 is checked. So I understand I need to mail both forms. However, form 8949 states two transactions, each transaction is listed as "broker name - see attached statement". My question is do I need to attach my 1099B from my broker?  Thank you!

Form 8453 is a cover sheet for your separte Form 8949 with detail.

You are describing a Form 8949 with summary.

There is no need to mail that form. you already filed it.

---

If you are not excused by the detail reporting exception,
IRS requires details of your SELL transactions to be supplied on some Form 8949,
or on your other forms (e.g. consolidated 1099-B or spreadsheet) which have the same information and in the same manner as Form 8949.

Thank you for your reply. I am still confused because after I efiled, turbotax software told me that I need to mail those two forms to complete my tax return. Do you mean I don't need to mail them to IRS? Thanks.

if you did not e-File the details, submit the details by US Mail within three business days of your e-Filed return being ACCEPTED.
