Estimated taxes

I just finished filing my 2019 FIT. I pay quarterly, estimated taxes. I noticed that the Turbo Tax program has default dates in the estimated tax entry form. Those dates are consistent with 1040-ES. However, I always pay my quarterly taxes a few days before the required date. Here's the issue. When I tried to enter the actual payment date (which was different from the default date), I get an error message stating that the date cannot be before 1-1-2019. Well, in every case the actual date was after 1-1-2019, but I could not get the program to accept the actual dates. I finally gave up and went with the default dates and it accepted my entries. Not a big deal unless there is a need to calculate a penalty for late payment of estimated taxes. In that case the actual date of payment is important. I recommend Intuit look into this and see what's wrong.

I tried it.  you need 4 digits for the year

....IT won't accept 4/4/19

it will accept 4/4/2019  (and actually goes in as 04/04/2019 )

Thanks. I actually did try the DD/MM/YYYY format and that didn't work. In other words I tried to enter the actual date in the same format as the default date and it didn't work. Perhaps some glitch. In any event, it didn't make any difference so I went with the default dates and filed.

Sorry.....must be something strange.   I don't have an issue with it in my desktop Premier.

I did note, that when I have a simple 19 entered, and it gives me the error, then, when changing it to the proper 2019 format, that the wrong date error doesn't disappear until you click in another box.

I was wondering if it could be some kind of OS system setup conflict.  I haven't messed with my W10 date format settings (or even if I can) but on one of the older Windows (98?) you could use a different date formatting layout for your OS.  Don't know if that would conflict or not.

Thanks for your feedback. No, I'm pretty sure I entered the wrong format and just kept doing it. What's that they say about continuing to do the same thing and expected different outcomes. Oh well, at the end of the day it's all good. Taxes have been filed and accepted by the IRS.
