Estimate direct deposit date change

I submitted my return on 1/28, it was accepted on 2/11. As of yesterday, the estimated return date was 3/4 which would have been exactly 21 days from date of acceptance but today, it was changed to 3/7. Any ideas why it would change? And to a Sunday?

Where did you see this change, on the IRS Where's My Refund site?

No, not on WMR. It's on TurboTax where it shows the timeline of when a return was transmitted, then accepted. It still says 3/7/21 for "estimated federal refund date". However, IRS WMR has updated for me and indicates my refund is coming in on 3/3.

That is the Refund Tracker inside of TurboTax tracks the progress of your tax return through acceptance by the IRS. Once it has been accepted by the IRS, TurboTax no longer receives updates. The date that TurboTax provides is only an estimate.

It did change after acceptance. From 3/4 - 3/7. I know it's moot, especially since I'm receiving it earlier than was initially expected. Thanks for your help 🙂
