E-file Status

Filed my return and the "Check E-file Status" says my 2024 return was accepted.  Got a text message that said it wasn't and a TurboTax message that said the birthdate didn't match IRS records.  How can I go in and change it?

It sounds like that text message might be a possible scam.

For confirmation of an accepted return, you should see the e-file status on the Tax Home Screen of your account. You should have also received an email from TurboTax with the acceptance status.

How do I check my e-file status?

I received an email from TurboTax saying my return was rejected because the birth dates didn't match the IRS and it also said to go back into the tax return on TurboTax and they'd walk me thru how to correct it.  I did that and that's where I got the ACCEPTED status.  I only owe the $28 but I'd like to clear this up.

If you fixed the error, and it now says that it is accepted, you are good to go.  If you would like to make sure the return was accepted, you can check your e-file status.
