The date you see in TurboTax will be an estimated date based off the amount of time it takes historically for a refund to be received. Once your return has been accepted (received) by the government, they take over the refund status update duties, since they hold the purse strings. The status in TurboTax will remain as accepted. The IRS does say "Please wait 5 days after we’ve sent the refund to check with your bank about your refund, since banks vary in how and when they credit funds," see more by clicking here. Additionally, if you used refund processing (had your fees for TurboTax paid for with your refund), TPG will process that transaction (deduct the TurboTax fees, then transfer the payment to your bank account). If that is the case, you can track that process by clicking here.
I also checked the sbg, and it says sent to my bank so I just have to say "where my money at?"lol
Once your refund status on the IRS shows "Refund Sent" it can take 1 to 5 business days for the financial institution to deposit funds into your account.
So once Santa Barbara Tax Products Group receives your refund from the IRS, they will take out the fee and send to your financial institution.
