Delay in Amended tax Return - 2018

Hi,

I am filing Federal Amendment for the year 2018 and I have sent my 1040X form in April 1st week with Supporting Documents. I stay in Colorado and my tax filing company asked me to send documents to Department of Treasury, fresno. After 8 weeks I did My amended status hasn't been updated so I again sent docs to same IRS on Jine 1st week. Still I don't see any response.

 

Is this delay because I have sent to wrong location or because I sent it multiple times? Not sure of next steps. Can anyone help me with ideas.

Amended returns are not being processed so you will not hear anything, probably until the end of this year.

Thanks for your reply, Is there anyway I can reach IRS? Not sure why they are not updating status.

IRS is poorly staffed and not answering phones. You just have to wait.
