Corrected 1099R, need to file amended?

I recieved a corrected 1099-R from Vanguard on my 401K. The only thing that changed was the distribution code in box 7 from 7 to 8. Do I need to file an amended return? Tax withheld and reported remained the same."

You might not need to amend.  But let's just make sure.  Click here  2018 Amend .  Follow the instructions in the program and it will tell you if the correction changes the result.  

If it does not change your total refund or tax due, you do not need to amend.  If it does, you have to amend.
