A complete question would be nice so we do not have to guess.  We do not know what returns you want copies of.

PRINT RETURN   You need to print a copy of your return?  Sign in to your account using exactly the same account and user ID that you used to prepare your return.
On the bottom of the screen find Your tax returns & documents and click on Show.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

Note:  Every year, before mid-October, print a copy of your current year tax return and save it as a tax file and pdf, too.  That way you will have it when you need it for school, a loan, next year’s tax return, etc. without going through a lot of aggravation (and expense)  to get it.

I need copies of my 2016 state and federal tax returns. Why is this so complicated?

@stc It's complicated now because the system is in transition from 2018 to 2019 and you cannot get PLUS until the change is complete sometime in December.  This is is a good illustration of why you should always print yourself a copy of your tax return and save it as a tax file and a pdf each year before mid-October so you will have access when you need it.

You can get a free transcript from the IRS or a copy for $50.
