Contacting IRS

I had to file a return for a lost stimulus check and I received a letter stating it need to verify who I am. By calling which is a joke because everyday back in December I called everyday at random times and no one answered. How am I suppose to verify myself when no one answers and when no one answers how am I suppose to make an appointment to go down to my local branch?! It's a catch 22 situation.someone is working because I received that letter. I've even tried through IRS website but Everytime I would need to take a selfie a message pops up stating I don't have enough WIFI coverage, whatever that means. I have a excellent signal connection with my home router. I'm about to just let them have that $600. This gives me too much anxiety.

contact the IRS in a few months when, hopefully, the backlog is worked off.
