Confused about e-filing status

3 days ago turbotax emailed me that my federal return was accepted. Today Ir eceived a nnew email from Turbotax saying that

You haven’t filed your 2021 taxes yet. Everything is almost done, and your return is ready to be e‑filed, but you’re missing one little thing. The IRS has security rules in place that require your 2020 AGI (adjusted gross income) to confirm your identity before sending off your 2021 tax return. Sign in today and we’ll help you finish up.

Is this just a glitch? Any other way to confirm that the taxes have been accepted? Thanks.

Yes, this is driving me nuts too. I've gotten this email now two days running, even though I got confirmation via text, email, and the app that my "return was accepted by the IRS".

It's very stressful to have these things not be in synch. Do I trust the application or do I trust the email? (I guess we're supposed to trust the efile status in the application, but it's the IRS so, you know, it really doesn't bring me confidence in TurboTax to keep getting these emails).

I am not sure why you are receiving those e-mails, but I think it is important to have it checked out. Please forward these emails to security@intuit.com.

They can check to see if it is a legitimate email and if it is, report the problem to the department that can fix it.
