Change return, printed but not sent

I need to change my return because you cant actually review your tax forms before "printing".  I do not want to file an amended return 1040x, just fix something after "printing".  I cannot seem to accomplish this in TurboTax...

You can preview forms before you file. To clarify, what changes are you trying to make?

Please see this Turbo Tax FAQ on how to preview your return. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-preview-my-turbotax-online-return-before-filing/00/26160

One can only preview the 1040 and not any other forms / schedules.

The 2 changes I'd like to make are

1) Foreign accounts, max value in 2021, and total value in 2021.  The max value of my foreign accounts inaccurately reports and overstates my total foreign value, its not just a summing up...  I'll most likely have to just fill these forms out manually from the IRS site so they are correct.

2) I've decided to make additional HSA contribution for 2021. This shouldn't require a 1040x, especially before I've sent in my taxes.

Once you log on to TurboTax, scroll all the way to the bottom where it has Your tax returns & documents for 2021. Click on the button that says Add a State. This will allow you back into your return to make changes without actually starting the amend process.

Once you are in there, you don't have to actually add the state. You can go make the changes in the relevant sections.

How do I revert to an earlier version of my tax prep?  I now have an amended return showing and need to just revert back to the earlier prepared 1040 (and associated CO state forms) to fix some numbers.  This is painfully difficult and confusing after paying and "printing" and discovering I needed to change something!  I refuse to upgrade/pay TurboTax any additional money because their software/workflow is too rigid and nonintuitive! Help!

@gmkfcd  You can't revert back to an earlier version.  You can, however, cancel the amendment that you are working on and instead just re-enter the return and make the changes.  Once you cancel the amendment then it will remove all amendment forms and take you to the tax return before you clicked the 'amend' button.

Here's how to cancel an amendment.
