Cannot File My Return & Cannot Talk To Human: Refund Requested

Hello -

 

So evidently there are exactly zero ways to contact a human at TurboTax. Red Flag #1.

 

My return was declined because 6-digit pin not entered.  Was not asked for 6-digit pin, but was asked to create some new 5-digit pin.

 

I did hunt down the 6-digit pin and entered that and refiled.  The return was again declined.  

 

So I called the IRS number involving pins and the recording said it can take up to 180 days to process a new pin.

 

I would really like a human to help me sort thru this and make sure I have to wait 180 [likely more] days for my refund.

 

Since there is no way to get a human, I want to make sure my TurboTax account is canceled with no money due, and I will find a human locally.

 

Please advise how to make sure the order is canceled.

 

P.S. sorry for all the "emotional incontinence" directed at your POS worthless AI phone tree.

presumably you hunted down the six-digit PIN by finding the letter the IRS sent you. You can't e-File without it.

The IP PIN and the self-select PIN are two different things.

don't enter a five-digit PIN for authentication if you don't have one.

If your 2020 return was delayed, entering AGI = zero may get your e-File to go through.

If you used the online program and the return was rejected for an incorrect IP PIN number (you must use the new one issued in January 2022 &  not the one you had for the 2020 return)   then you can print, ink sign and mail in the return.  There is no refunds of the ONLINE fees once you paid them.  If you want to try filing a different way you can simply walk away from the TT program since the return was rejected.

Since fees coming from my federal return, how does TurboTax get paid?  

 

Also, I just have pin from last year, and did not receive anything else.  Is there some way to do something to replace it with IRS that does not take 180 days [yes, their message says it can take 180 days to replace your pin].

*and not sure their basis for getting paid, since return ejected and they are unable to help or provide customer service.

If rejected for the 2020 AGI then enter a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file the 2021 tax return again.

Update: I did [finally] find a way to get PIN resent w/o waiting months for IRS to reset it.  

Thanks to everyone here attempting to do Turbo Tax's customer service job.  

Still have not received refund, though return accepted and Turbo Tax said refund coming soon [month ago] still cannot get help from Turbo Tax.  Have posted another query on this new issue.
