I have done that, plus any other articles/postrs I can find (e.g. shut computer and printer off for 30 seconds, remove all flash drives, etc.)  Nothing works.  It won't print from "Print, but Don't File", or from "Print Selected Page", or from"Print".  Nor will it "Save to PDF".   all of these cause TT Premier 2021` to crash.

Mine does the exact same thing!  So frustrating.  I was on the phone with TT for an hour and they couldn't figure out what was wrong.  Everyone is at a loss.

Does it allow you to download a copy of the return? @kristinj

Their latest update fixed the problem.  I can now save as a PDF.  I haven't tried to print yet, assuming that, too, is fixed.  Thanks for responding.

I found a solution on the Apple support website which worked for me.  Normally I keep my tax folder outside the Applications folder >>including the TurboTax application<<.  The solution I found was to *** INSTALL THE TurboTax APPLICATION INSIDE THE Applications FOLDER ***.  I did this from the TurboTax CD.  When I ran it for the first time, it did the normal application and forms updates.  It then opened my 2021 returns.  When I went to "Save to PDF..." this time it worked!  Also when I went to "Print...", I was able to print "Tax return only," "Recommended forms & worksheets," and "All forms & worksheets."  I was also able to use those print options to save PDF versions of those printouts.  I hope this works for anyone else with a Mac TurboTax (2021) printing and PDF problem.

My equipment is a new MacBook Pro 14 (2021) updated to run macOS Monterey 12.3.1.  My TurboTax 2021 is version 2021.r26.090 build Apr 20, 2022 at 10:40:29 AM.

I haven't been able to print or save to pdf and my TurboTax is saved in my applications folder. The latest update (same as you're using) didn't fix the problem for me. Any other insights would be much appreciated. I'm running Monterey 12.3.1 on a MacBook pro 2015.

Odd!  When I downloaded Monterrey 12.3.1 on  my Macbook Pro 2018 the problem resolved.

Me neither. Intel Mac running Ventura. Tried exporting as pdf. Same bouncing beachball. Intuit's help article is hopelessly inadequate. Force quit after force quit after restart...nothing works. I can't file without knowing Intuit will let me have a copy of my own return. Where do we go from here?

Solved the problem, at least my problem on my computer thanks to a previous suggestion to save the return to the applications folder. That worked. I think the problem came from me saving my return into my folder which is located on my iCloud drive. If yours is on iCloud you might try saving it to somewhere on your physical Mac drive.

Bingo ... to work correctly the program must be working from your internal  hard drive not from a cloud or removable storage device/external hard drive.

Same problem here, but the app is already in the Applications folder. I've had to force quit the app 3 times now. I can't even same my returns. Intuit, please get your crap together.

It's not enough to have the app in the applications folder. Save your actual return to the applications folder as well. Or, you can save it to anywhere on your built-in hard drive. If you try to save it to the cloud or external storage it won't save or print.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I just tried moving the TT file to the hard drive (it was in iCloud Drive) and it still hung the app, so that I had to force quit it again. I also tried the "Safe PDF" option in the file menu, but it also hung the app as well.

Bummer, I had called Intuit and they were nice about it and concerned sounding, but I think the solution was also evading them. I did try one other thing that worked. I duplicated my return, gave it a different name, exported it to another place on the hard drive, saving it as a pdf file. I'm not sure why that worked, or if it was actually any different than doing the same thing with the original return, but it might be worth a try.
