California StateRefund

I filed my 2019 California state taxes in March 20 but have not received my refund so I looked over my form and realized I did not have my bank information to deposit my refund.  Why didn't Turbo Tax catch this as an error?  What do I do to get my refund?  Do I need to amend my state return?

In the File section of the program on Step 2, when you have tax refund you are given several options on how to received the state tax refund.  Which option did you choose?

How you chose to receive the state tax refund will be on the state Filing Instructions page included with your tax return.

Sign onto your TurboTax online account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down and click on Add a State.  This will take you back to the 2019 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.

Then you have a copy of the state filing instructions.  What does it say about how you are receiving the state tax refund?

It just says the amount to be refunded.  I looked on the California State website.  It says if I mailed it (which I did) it will take approx. 8 weeks and they have no record of it yet.  So I guess its sitting in a pile somewhere.  Should I amend to add my bank information?

There is nowhere on a California amended tax return, Form 540X, to enter a bank account.
